তিস্তা আমার ঠিকানা, লাউ কুমড়ো 

আর তরমুজ ভরা মাঠ

সোনালী ধানের শীষ দোলা দেয় বাতাসে

কাশফুল আর গাঙচিলের কোলাকুলি 

মাঝনদী ফুলে উঠে হয় দিশেহারা, আজও এইখানে। 

ঝাঁকা নিয়ে দ্রুত যায় রমনী

সাঁঝের আঁধারে বাকি আছে কাজ।

শরত আকাশে আগমনী সুর, ঢাক বাজে বহুদূরে। 

শুনি আমি বাঁশি আর শুনি শঙ্খধ্বনি,

হাহাকার এখানে ওখানে 

একদিন ওরা ভেসেছিল, ভাসাবে আমাকে একদিন, তারই প্রতীক্ষায় থাকি।

সাধু সন্ন্যাসীরা জলে স্নান করে, জল নিয়ে যায়

একই জলে স্নান করে মহাদেব। 

আমার প্রতীক্ষা শেষ হয়

ভাসব বলে বেঁধেছি এ ঘর

জানি তিস্তা আমার ঠিকানা। 

Destination Teesta

I often cross the river Teesta

Lots of green vegetables are laying in the bank

Women are carring river water

Toddlers are playing in the mud

I cross the river Teesta, my dreem site.

If there is heaven, It's here

Monks are bathing the water

Carring water for lord Shiva

Lord Shiva is also bathing in the same water

Farmers are carring simultaneously 

I saw the overflooded  Teesta, they have their rice in the vicinity. 

Many of them flooded here

I know the flood will carry me too

as my ultimate destination is Teesta.
